I am completely moved to write a shining review for this place. Nine months of pain and frustration (posterior tibial tendonitis pain which was originally misdiagnosed as scar tissue in my arch, which Dr. Nurse re-Dx as a knot in my calf/tibia) completely GONE in 45 minutes. GONE. I have never been so happy. I feel like I have my life back. I scheduled a 2nd appointment for next week too. Most importantly: I felt safe here. And when he said "You're going to be fine", I actually believed it! I PR'd my 5K time during a training run the next morning. I am a little shocked, to be honest! If you have any kind of pain - please go see this guy! Go go go!

I’ve been struggling with chronic tendonopathy issues in my knee for over a year. As a competitive cyclist in cyclocross and mountain biking, my frustration level was high when I finally met Dr. Nurse. I’d seen several providers including orthopedics, PTs, massage therapists and a few other ART therapists, as far away as Boulder, CO without a lot of success. Dr. Nurse has been really vital in my path back to competition. His aggressive treatments are what I needed to get my knee back on the bike and cycling the way I’m used to again. He gets what it’s like to be injured and to be highly competitive, which I find really important in a sports medicine provider. Recently, I’ve been logging more hours on my bike per week than I have in the last 2 years.

As a member of the Crossfit Southie community, prior to joining the box, the #1 fear I had (like most Crossfitters) was getting injured. That is why for the past 6 months I have been seeing Dr. Ian Nurse on a weekly basis to help my body recover from a tough week of working towards my fitness goals. Dr. Nurse has been an engaging, qualified, and caring practitioner of A.R.T., which has helped my avoid any major injuries since I started Crossfit and has helped my mobility immensely! I now feel more limber and supple in tackling the grueling day-to-day schedule that is Crossfit. I continue to feel confident in performing all lifting movements without fear of tears or strains to my body. I would highly recommend the services of Dr. Nurse for those athletes in the Crossfit community seeking to take their performance to the next level!

I am an avid distance runner, running every day somewhere between 7 and 12 miles. So, when I am injured, I am not a happy camper. Unfortunately I am also injury prone and throughout my running career I have had to take time off again and again for tendonitis, bursitis, stress fractures, etc. I have worked with countless physical therapists, orthopedic doctors, and chiropractors to try to treat these injuries through the years with varied success. When I started working with Ian Nurse I finally found a doctor who could consistently narrow in on my specific ailment and efficiently treat me and get me back running in weeks or even days depending on the injury. When I became pregnant, Ian worked on my hips regularly to keep me loose and pain free, running well into my third trimester. There is no one else I trust more with my running legs and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for injury relief.

I knew there would be hell to pay for cycling over forty miles with acute knee pain. Three months later, after weeks of physical therapy, strengthening exercises, and foam rolling, I could barely manage to cycle 5 miles before the pain returned. Dr. Nurse identified the IT Band as the culprit and provided the much-needed ART and Graston therapy. Within a few weeks, I was back on the bike, cycling 20-30 miles. Within a few months, I was cycling centuries faster than ever. Now, Dr. Nurse is my first stop for any sport-related injury.

I had to wait until I crossed the finish line to write this, so it's long overdue. Dr. Justine Paula is incredible! She has gotten me to the starting (and finish) lines of two marathons and kept me healthy all the way through. As a person with pancake flat feet and a right leg that historically has always had something wrong, I figured marathons were not in the cards for me. Justine turned that all around and is 100% of the reason I've been healthy running 6 days a week and peaking at 60mi/week. I can't thank her enough. Oh, and she's funny and nice to boot and plays great playlists with John Mayer! I can't recommend her and Wellness in Motion enough!

As a running coach, triathlet, and someone who has worked in the Boston hospitals for over 12 years, I am very particular about where I get my care and like many athletes can be stubborn about admitting when it’s time to see someone. I was referred to WIMB and seeing Justine was easily one of the best decisions I have made. She listened to my concerns and priorities and worked with me to come up with a realistic plan to get me back on the road in a healthy and quick manner. Most importantly, I could tell she TRULY cared and was intevested in my care which made me trust her and follow her recommendations. She broke down the science of my injury while still having a down to earth personality, making the entire experience as rewarding as possible. I have recommended Justine to many of my runners and training partners and have no doubt she will enhance your performance and overall life quality
